Craftsbury's first-ever high school cross country camp is in the books. For five days, 11 motivated teens from six states logged their miles on grass, dirt roads and trails. With the Morrisville track unavailable due to repairs, we went old school and ran intervals and a 4 x 400 relay on Craftsbury Common's grass - more specific for cross-country runners anyhow.

It was a full camp! In addition to all the running the young harriers learned about nutrition from Carlie Geer, gathered some great core and circuit training ideas, brushed up on exercise physiology from coach Maria Stuber, and stretched themselves with yoga with Sophia. Hiking Mount Pisgah, swimming at Lake Willoughby and playing in the Black River were icing on the cake of a busy week. Can't wait until next year!
