The Green Racing Project is excited to announce the addition of one new skier for 2017-2018: Wisconsin native and Northern Michigan University (NMU) skier Adam Martin.

Adam grew up in Wausau, WI where he skied for Wausau Nordic and the CXC Team. His high school ski career included a Wisconsin State Championship win in 2012 and a 26th place at Junior World Championships in 2014. BKL Daycamp #1 - Monday June 26 - Friday, June 30, 2017

2017 Summer Forestry Series and Wildflower Walks

Once again this summer, Craftsbury Outdoor Center will be hosting its Summer Forestry and Conservation Series, as well as continuing Wildflower Walks.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Forestry Series
Last summer we organized the series under the theme "A sense of place: Understanding the Black River Watershed from the bedrock to the people and everything in between".

This summer, the 2017 Series is based around the theme of  "The changing landscape of the Northern Forest, the past the present and things to come". Vermont has gone from fully forested, to less than 20% forested, to nearly fully forested again. During this time the landscape, and those who rely on the landscape have significantly changed.  Over the ...

Summer TNR Starts May 30

2.TrailRace5.4.16

The first race of the series will be held on May 30 and we will once again rotate between two different five-kilometer courses at the Outdoor Center, with a couple of jaunts up the road to Hosmer Point (HP). Bikers and runners alternate courses every week, with bikers contesting one course and runners the other to prevent any lapping. Both courses incorporate some of the old-school singletrack as well as the new flowy singletrack.

Once again we will be recording points for the season total, but we've changed the scoring a bit. Women and men will be scored separately this year; and we're going to a system that awards points based on time rather than on finish position - click here for full scoring details. At our last race on August 22nd, we will celebrate the series with a ...
