BKL Fest 2010

01.Mar.2010

The theme for this year's Bill Koch Festival was "Ski the Wave", but few realized the roller coaster that organizers and participants would ride last week. Originally intended to be held at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, ME, the festival was moved north and west to Fryeburg Maine's Stark's Hill trails. The home trails of Fryeburg Academy had their own ups and downs with the weather in the past week, but after all the drama, the trails and setting provided a great backdrop for the 2010 highpoint of the Bill Koch calendar with nice, firm trails and warm, fast conditions for much of the weekend.

Craftsbury was well represented in the Northeast Vermont Team, as well as other teams that some members skied for. Saturday was relay day and Sunday the individual starts.
