New Race - the Craftsbury Spring Tour

The eagle-eyed have no doubt noticed the addition of a section on the website covering the newest event at the Center, the Craftsbury Spring Tour. Organized by the Craftsbury Green Racing Project, the Spring Tour is a Tour de Ski style event to be held March 19-21.

A 3k Prologue kicks off the weekend, followed by a 12k Skiathlon (contiuous pursuit), chased by a 200m Dash on Saturday night with a BBQ and music, and the weekend closes with a Gunderson Pursuit 15k skate on Sunday. Racers can participate in as many or as few of these as they wish, though weekend long (stage race style) scoring will be done for those who participate in all the events.

"What about BKL?" There will be a BKL event on Saturday afternoon. Come race, then watch sprints and stay for the BBQ.

"I miss the Spring Fling. What about a mass start 15/30k?" You've been heard and we've added a 15/30k mass start option to the Sunday racing.

There are more details to follow,  but the event is fast approaching and we didn't want anyone to be left out. Especially because registration (for individuals) is ONLINE ONLY and CLOSES on March 17! Need a place to stay? We're running weekend specials for both lodging and lodging/race entry combos. $200 gets you a room in Cedar and all the race entries, or if you want to keep things a la carte, we're offering Spring Tour racers a 15% room discount for the weekend days.
