Summer Racing Opportunities
31.May.2010 The Center's core trails have received lots of attention in the past year or so with improved grading, drainage and more regular year round maintenance. What better way to showcase them then a variety of fun activities? Check out some active opportunities to enjoy Craftsbury's trails year round:
Trail Running series: Join us every Wednesday night beginning June 9 until September 15 for a 5k trail run. Kids race at 6pm, with the open race at 6:15. The courses will alternate between three options so you can measure your improvement from the beginning of the series to the end. Prizes will be awarded at the last race of the series for the overall points scored. Races are $5 per race per event or only $40 for the whole series!
15k Trail Race: July 24 is the date of our inaugural Trail Running Race - a challenging 15k of woods and offroad fun on the Center's cross country ski trails. The $15 entry is day-of-race (DOR) only, and racing starts at 10:30am. Prizes to the top three finishers overall and top age group finishers.
20k Mountain Bike Race: On August 22nd, our mountain bike race will return from its several year hiatus. Mixed single and double track to challenge all racers. The race starts at 10:30am, DOR registration at the Touring Center or pre-register online at bikereg.com. Only a $15 entry fee. Prizes for age group winners and overall winners.
