Trinity College Winter Trip '08

In the continuing theme of summer athletes visiting the Center during the winter (did you see us in the pic of the day on row2k at the beginning of the week?) the Center was fortunate to host a group from Trinity College this January.

36 students and chaperones experienced another side of Craftsbury: video, ski lessons, great conditions and tons of skiing. The second annual Trinitasa-loppet closed the week of aerobic base and team building before members of the group start their winter work for a fast season.

This year's winner of the prestigious Trinitasa-loppet was rower Brian DeRegt in 11:08, which we believe is course record, with Sarah Keller leading the women home in 16:45. In other positive news, coach Kevin MacDermott stayed upright this year, even finishing the Loppet in a respectable 4th place.

We're happy to host this group of fine athletes and play a small part in their seasons. Do you have a group of athletes looking for a cross-training alternative? You and your group can take advantage of over 85 kilometers of trails, ice hockey on the pond, weight room and ergs for a change of pace in your winter time exercise plan.
