2008 Wedding Fees
Save the Date Deposit
$500 non-refundable deposit to save your wedding date.
Site Rental & Facility Use Fee:
$1100.00 Site rental and facility use fee for up to 2 days. The fee covers use of outside facilities with limited waterfront use for all your guests, parking, wedding ceremony chair set-up, and evening campfires.
Tent Rental:
- For up to 200 people
$1,700.00 tent rental fee for up to 2 days use. The tent is a white 30' x 90' peaked tent with sides. This includes tent set-up, seating for up to 200 people, a 20 amp electrical service and a cold water line.
Extra Tent Rentals:
20' x 20' Tent: $300.00 tent rental fee for 2 days use - $150.00 non-refundable deposit required. The tent has a white frame tent with sides.
10' X 15' Tent: $100.00 tent rental fee for 2 days use - $50.00 non-refundable deposit required. The tent is a white canopy with sides. We have two of these available for rent. (These tents can be used as a cook tent if you have an outside caterer, space for a band/DJ, food service, etc.
Dining Hall and Kitchen Rental:
In the off-season, the dining hall can be rented for $300.00 for one day of use. Rental fee includes 70 chairs, 8 round tables, and 2 banquet tables. The kitchen is available to rent in the off season on a case-by-case basis. Individuals or companies renting the kitchen must be insured.
Yurt Rental:
Our 30' diameter yurt with heat and power for small groups can be rented for $250.00 per day. Table and chair set-up included. The yurt can seat 32 people comfortably.
Port-o-let Rental:
We will rent 2 port-o-lets for events with more than 100 guests. The cost for this service is $105.00 per unit. Flushable units are available for $125.00 per unit.
Additional Rentals Available:
- 16' x 20' Dance floor - Setup for $210.00 for up to 2 days use.
- Tent Heater - Set up for $85.00 per night/day used.
- Charcoal grill - 2'x5' grilling area. Set-up, charcoal, and cleaning Included. $85.00 per use.
- Banquet tables - $7.00 per table.
- PA system - Fender Passport 250 watt system with 2 microphones and Speaker stands included. $85.00 per day.
Catering Information:
The Center can cater your meal under our tent for up to 120 people if your group has the entire facility booked. If you and your guests have not reserved the entire facility, the Center can cater a meal for up to 75 people under our tent.
Talk with us about the meal you've imagined for your event. The meal quote will be personalized for the menu you've selected. Generally, our meal rates have ranged from $18.00 a person to $35.00 a person. Our rates include buffet setup, buffet serving, table bussing, and clean up of the meal. Plates and silverware are included, however, linens are not. Our meal prices are subject to the current Vermont State Meals Tax and a 15% gratuity charge.
The Center allows outside caterers to serve meals under our tent. We'd be happy to recommend caterers we have worked with in the past.
For catering with the Center, meal numbers must be finalized 14 days prior to the scheduled meal. At this point, a meal deposit of 50% of the total cost of the meal is due. Any drop in meal numbers within the 14 days will result in no discount, but additions will be added at the quoted rate.
Cancellation of any catered meal before 14 days prior to the meal will result in a $150.00 planning fee. Within 14 days of the scheduled meal, cancellation will result in the forfeit of your meal deposit.
For larger groups we will recommend a caterer to work with you to plan your event.
Alcohol - If you intend to have a bar set up, we will recommend a licensed vendor. We cannot allow any serving of alcohol without having a person/caterer with a license to do so. No alcohol is allowed after 12:00 a.m.
Lodging Information:
The Center offers many types of accommodations to suit everyone's needs.You can choose to include all three meals served in our dining hall with your stay, or do the B&B rate and add any additional meals you will need. Your entire group needs to be on the same meal plan. Weddings require a minimum of 35 guests staying at the Outdoor Center for two nights.
Pooling Room Information:
The Center's pooling policy allows you to set aside rooms for your guests' comfort and ease of booking. You decide which rooms you would like to designate for your guests.
There is a pooling fee of $35.00 per room, with a minimum pooling fee of $350.00. These rooms will be reserved exclusively for your group up to 60 days in advance of your wedding.
You can either list which guest should go where, or leave the decision to them. If you choose to assign rooms, the guests you have assigned spaces to have 30 days to get a deposit to us for their specified room or it will get rolled back into your pool for your remaining guests. In either case, guests simply call the group coordinator, and we make the reservation. For each reservation, the last night's stay will be charged as a room deposit and we will send out a confirmation with driving directions.
At 60-days prior to your arrival, any remaining unreserved pooled rooms will be released and will result in a $35.00 per room surcharge (drawn from your pooling fee). Your guests can continue to reserve rooms after this point, however, we can no longer guarantee their availability.
Any remaining balance of your pooling fee will be credited to your wedding bill.
Fireworks Policy:
No fireworks are allowed on the premises.
Planning Fee:
To cover the cost involved with planning and organization there is an additional fee of $350.00.
Liability and Security:
The Craftsbury Outdoor Center is not responsible for the loss of, or damage to, guest and visitors articles left on the premises at any time. This includes property belonging to guests, visitors or vendors. Liability for damages to the premises will be charged accordingly.
