A fun town event that you should know about:  Common Days! From the organizers:

"Horse shoes, ping pong, croquet, live music from the Eames Brothers Band all right on the Common. Blackbird Bar will be serving up some delicious cocktails, C Village Store and the Craftsbury General Store will have the food. There will be some great prizes from Pete's Greens and High Mowing Seeds. Horseshoes and Ping pong will be set up tournament style. Oktoberfest 14: Local Dinner

Celebrate the return of the cooler season Saturday, October 4, 2014 with our Bavarian themed local dinner. You'll enjoy a variety of dishes prepared by the Center's Vermont Fresh Network dining hall team - all with a healthy dollop of local ingredients. Reservations are recommended for this event. If you're staying with us (or competing in Henley on Hosmer), Oktoberfest dinner is included! Oktoberfest 14: Singletrack Shootout Biathlon Race

Test your limits on the Craftsbury Outdoor Center's trails with the 3rd annual Singletrack Shootout Biathlon Race, Saturday, October 4, 2014. Racers can choose between a running or mountain bike race, each with four shooting stages. Registration is online via Skireg, $25/person (including lunch) with discounts for houseguests (FREE!) and Craftsbury members. DOR available for an additional fee. Oktoberfest 14: Henley on Hosmer Regatta

Mark your social and sporting calendars! Craftsbury is pleased to announce the third annual Henley-on-Hosmer to be held Saturday the 4th of October, 2014 in conjunction with our Oktoberfest celebration. Oarsmen and oarswomen shall race single sculls two abreast down Big Hosmer Pond (1 mile, 1320 yards) with the winner proceeding to the next round. Registration is online via Skireg, $45/person (including dinner) with discounts for houseguests (FREE!) and Craftsbury members. Reg closes Wednesday, October1, NO DOR AVAILABLE!!! Oktoberfest 14: Checkpoint Challenge

Gather three of your family, friends, team-mates or co-workers and join us Sunday, October 5, for the 2014 Craftsbury Checkpoint Challenge, part of our annual Oktoberfest celebration. 

Starting at 9:30am, teams of four will race from checkpoint to checkpoint on foot, navigating by map. At each stop, teams will be given a new task to complete - or a time penalty to accept if they don't want to take the challenge. 

Registration will be online at Runreg.com or day-of at the Outdoor Center, $25/person (including lunch) with discounts for houseguests (FREE) and Craftsbury members.
