In addition to comfortable lodging and excellent skiing, we offer annual members great ski training and coaching. For winter 2014-15, opportunities exist for skier members of all ages to train, learn technique, improve - and just have a blast on snow all winter long!
'14-'15 Programming Overview
Catamounts - Introductory Kids' Skiing
For ages 6-12, meets 2x/week (generally Wednesday afternoon and Saturday), $50/season for the whole program, $25/season for weekends only - December to March. This program aims to build enthusiasm for Nordic skiing through ski play and skill development. Participants will learn both skating and classical techniques with lots of fun and games! Don't have ski equipment? No problem - equipment use is included in the program fee. Register Now.
For kids 8 to 11, meets 3x/week (Friday and Saturday afternoons), $75/end of November to May, $25/season for weekends only. A program for kids who have skied a season or two and are interested in getting a bit more instruction and technique work. This is a good group for kids interested in doing some BKL races, the BKL festival, as well as just having fun and developing skills through play. Group will be coached by Zach Russo with help of GRP members. Limited equipment available for those without, but those going to the festival and racing should take advantage of our season rental option. Register Now.
For kids 12 to 15, meets 4x/week, $100/end of November to May.Training for experienced Middle-school aged BKLers and first/second year J2s. Training gets U14s ready for BKL races in addition to preparation for the next level in skiing; prepares U16s for High school races, Eastern Cups, Junior National Qualifiers and J2 Championships. Coached by Zach Russo, with assistance from Pepa Miloucheva as needed. Register Now.
Kids 16 & up, meets 4x/week (generally Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, Saturday and Sunday mornings), $150/end of November to May. Training for experienced skiers who want a competitive focus. Training will prepare skiers to race High School races, Eastern Cups, Junior Olympic Qualifiers, and Eastern High School. This group will be coached by Zach Russo, with assistance as needed from Pepa Miloucheva. Register Now.
Groups of kids from area schools can come ski for free on our professionally maintained trails through our school groups program. Equipment and introductory instruction is also provided free of charge. Helping promote Nordic skiing and making it accessible to the local public is an important part of our mission. School teachers and administrators are encouraged to contact us to learn more about this great opportunity.
OJ/Seniors/Green Racing Project

For U12s through 20s, meets Tuesdays and Fridays at 3:30, and Sundays at 1. Instruction by our NEW biathlon coach Miroslav Segrt! Register Now.
Competitive Masters Racer Weekly Technique Sessions
Designed for masters skiers who plan to do some amount of racing. Coaches will include Zach Russo, Pepa Miloucheva, and John Brodhead, with weekly technique clinics (Generally mid-week mornings). Fees: $30 per session, or $100 covers the entire series from December through March. Register Now.
Competitive Masters Racer Training
Indoor dryland sessions Tuesday nights at 5:30pm until early December, outdoors Wednesdays at 3:30pm throughout the fall and winter. Designed for masters skiers who plan to do some amount of racing. Fees: $100 covers all sessions from November through March. Register Now.
Adult Recreational Ski Group
This free group for adult members meets Mondays at 3:00pm. Before setting out on the tour, participants will be led through some drills, instruction, or given a focus or theme for the day. Each day's route will be determined by the conditions, participant abilities and the skier's energy on a given day. There will be a primary leader of the group, with guest appearances by a variety of Center staff through the winter.
