BKL Summer Daycamps
June 29th-July 3rd
The BKL camps are always some of the most memorable weeks of the year at Craftsbury, and we're sure this year will be no exception. This June 29th-July 3rd and July 20th-24th, skiers age 8-13 will join us daily from 9am to 3pm at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The skiers will work hard, and play even harder!
There'll be lots of fun games, a variety of ski workouts, tons of opportunities to learn or improve skills like roller skiing, shooting with a real biathlon rifle, sculling, mountain biking, all capped by the traditional adventure race and pizza party at the end of the week. Don't miss it!
- Non-Members - $135 for the first child in a week of camp, $110 each additional child that week.
- Members - $110 for the first child in a week of camp, $85 each additional child that week.
(Don't worry - multi-child discounts will be figured as part of check out)
Public registration will open on May 1 over at Skireg (click thru to register - Camp 1, Camp 2). Until then, only Craftsbury Nordic Ski Club program participants can sign up. Want to join the team? Sample Day of Craftsbury BKL Camp
9:00 Morning Activity - We start the day with a warm-up activity. Usually this is an ice breaker or other fun game to start us moving.
10:00 - Morning Workout - Once warmed up, we move on to more ski related activities like rollerskiing, orienteering, running, hill bounding and more.
12:00 - Lunch
12:30 - Quiet activity - We learn from videos, play low-key games or other less active pursuits. It's a bit of a break to digest, recover and get ready for the afternoon.
1:00 - Afternoon workout - We close the day with another higher energy session. We canoe, swim, try biathlon, mountain bike, or learn to scull.
3:00 - Parent Pickup - Before you know it, it's time to go home! Rest up because tomorrow will be another full day!
