Opening 5k in the Trail Running Series

Wednesday night marked the opening of our summer trail running series. A mainly local crowd joined us and competed from the upper rec field, around Murphy's field, the west side of Duck Pond, Upper Bayley Hazen and then finishing via Lemon's Haunt - i.e. 5k.

New GRP athlete Dylan McGuffin took the opener in a time of 18:05, followed by Ollie Burruss and Krum Sergiev. Ida Sargent took the women's honors in 20:32, topping Judy Geer with Linda Ramsdell rounding out the opening night's women's podium.

Ultimately, we're creating a home on the website for these results. In the interim, find the results below. Come join us next week. Prizes will be based on the overall series points, so you've hardly missed anything. Besides, it's a fun way to get out and enjoy the Center's trails during the green season.
