2013 Running Camps

Our camp schedule includes great options for runners of all abilities and interests. Choose a particular theme or come the week that best fits your schedule. Either way, you'll enjoy an energizing running vacation, have lots of fun, and learn more than you ever knew was possible to find out about distance running and racing.
Prices on all the running vacations below are all inclusive: double occupancy room w/shared bath (upgrades available for more space to spread out), delicious meals from our Vermont Fresh Network Dining Hall, all your coaching, use of all our facilities, one-on-one coaching consultations with our professional coaching staff, as well as optional field trips around the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Want to share the Craftsbury experience with your family? We now offer day programming for kids aged 5-11 at our sister camp, Hosmer Point. Read more about that program - and all the other traditional residential offerings HP offers - here.

Run2Ski
January 31 - February 3, 2013 / 4 Days - $530
Our 2013 running season opens with our winter cross-training offering! Join Running Camp Director Lynn Jennings and Green Racing Project skiers for four days and three nights of winter training fun. Come and explore our 105 kilometers of groomed trails on skis, go on a forest snowshoe ramble and learn to snowshoe run; you'll go home refreshed, energized, and armed with improved techniques and tactics for snowy fun to add to your cross-training mix. Run2Scull, Scull2Run
June 9 - 14, 2013 / 6 Days - $1009
Are you a runner who is intrigued by rowing and wants to learn how to scull? Or perhaps you are a sculler who loves to run but can't imagine coming to Craftsbury and not getting out on Big Hosmer Pond. Either way, this camp allows you to use both your running shoes and your oars for some serious cross-training that will take both disciplines to new levels. Row in the mornings, run in the afternoons, while enjoying the great Craftsbury atmosphere all week! Read full details. High School XC Camp
July 7 - 13, 2013 / 7 Days - $595
This camp offers a full week instruction. Participants will enjoy track training, hill work, drills, fartlek and tempo work as well as a long run on the most beautiful loop in Vermont. Classroom presentations will include nutrition, training physiology, race day skills and more - all led by one of the greats of American running, Lynn Jennings. Marathon Week
July 14 - 20, 2013 / 7 Days - $1009
This week of camp is designed to prepare all levels of runners for their marathon - whether their first or 50th! We cover all aspects of training from specific workouts, running form, training principles and the long run to nutrition strategies, core strength and stability, circuit training, and much more.
Coached sessions include a track workout, a structured hill workout, tempo and fartlek instruction. In addition to amazing trail running on our own campus and runs on the beautiful back roads of Vermont, a week at camp will give you inspiration and motivation for your upcoming marathon training and racing. Masters Week
July 21 - 27, 2013 / 7 Days - $1009
Our most popular offering. Come have great fun with the over-40 crowd while learning how to train progressively or simply rejuvenate your love of running. "It's a relaxing Vermont vacation coupled with trail running and specific workouts on hills and the track. Improve your running form, learn how to train intelligently and how to manage injuries. Learning smart nutrition strategies and working on core strength and stability in our circuit training sessions will keep you running healthy with motivation to spare. Running Week
July 28 - August 3, 2013 / 7 Days - $1009
The week contains all the great activities listed in our other camps, tailored to the goals of the campers - whether marathon runners, ultra runners, general fitness runners or brand new runners. Last year we had runners of all abilities and experience levels at this week, learned a lot and had a blast. Come join us for this fun and inspiring week!
