Hosmer Youth Rowing Club ‘07
19.Jun.2007 After last summer's program, the Craftsbury Sculling Center is happy to announce another summer of the Hosmer Youth Rowing Club. This summer's dates and rates:
Part 1: HYRC intensive - for first time rowers:
- Monday - Wednesday, June 25 - 27, 6:00-8:00 PM.
- Swim test, flip test, equipment handling, and basic rowing
Part 2: HYRC weekly sessions - for previous program participants and kids who completed the intensive.
- ALL SESSIONS ARE 6-8PM
- Monday and Wednesday July 9 and July 11
- Monday and Wednesday July 16 and July 18
- Monday and Wednesday July 23 and July 25
- Monday and Wednesday July 30 and August 1
- Monday and Wednesday August 6 and August 8
- These sessions designed to improve technique.
All Sessions meet rain or shine, nothing during thunderstorms.
Price: $ 50.00 Craftsbury students, $150.00 for everyone else
Ages: 12-18 - 12 year olds required to wear a PFD
Coaches: Sheldon Miller, Nancy Moran, Rob Libby, quests coaches from Center staff.
How to sign up: At waterfront parent or guardian sign registration form and pay appropriate fees.
Focus: Mainly learn to row, but as program evolves we may explore and implement a more competitive tract for interested participants.
Boats: Singles primarily, with some time in the double and quad.
