Freestyle TT & NENSA Clinic over Thanksgiving Weekend
15.Nov.2011 Ready for a break from another 5k Turkey Trot? Thanks to NENSA, we have better options for skiers this upcoming holiday weekend! We will be hosting an on-snow NENSA Gaining the Edge clinic on Saturday the 26th and hope to hold a low key interval start race on Sunday the 27th.
Clinic
Join us for an on snow NENSA Gaining the Edge Clinic, module one (technique/physiology), Saturday, Nov 26th. Meet in front of office at 12:45. Bring skate and classic ski gear, as well as running shoes. The first part is scheduled to be on snow, with the last 30 minutes a physiology/training discussion. Clinic will run from 1-4pm. Email NENSA's Janice Sibilia to sign up. Cost $45 for NENSA members, $50 for non-members.
Race
Provided snow conditions are good, and interest high enough from the athletes and coaches training on site over Thanksgiving, NENSA will host a short skate time trial at Craftsbury, Sunday morning. Houseguests and members of the Outdoor Center can race for free, $5.00 for others. This will be an informal, interval start race to give everyone a chance to do an early season hard effort.
Interested? If you're a house guest, please sign up when you check in at the office so we can gauge if we'll have enough skiers to hold the event. If you're an annual member or otherwise staying offsite, please check the Craftsbury and NENSA websites for the most current updates and if the race is on as the date approaches. While a low key event, we'll still need help with timing and so forth (coaches and team staff accompanying athletes to Craftsbury would be perfect). Drop a line to Janice if you are willing to volunteer.
