WPI Christmas Cross-training Visit
27.Dec.2011 It was great to have group from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) join us prior to Christmas. In addition to lots of ski instruction and time on snow, the group spent much time at work in the fitness room. As many college groups do, they ended their stay with a competitive time trial around our manmade race loop.
Craftsbury Sculling Intern and WPI oarsman Ricky Holak grabbed the honors at this, the first WPI Invitational, with a time of 13:08 - a comfortable 30 second margin over second place. Not bad for a sculler who'd never skied before! It was great to host the group, and hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.
