Craftsbury at Jr. Worlds

13.Aug.2008

Campers/Interns Austin Meyer, Tom Nesel, and Cara Linnenkohl all represented the US at this summer's World Junior Championships in Linz, Austria at the end of July. Cara (Redmond, WA) joined us several years ago as part of our junior women's development camp. Her oarswomanship has certainly developed quite nicely, and this year she took silver in the junior women’s single sculls - the highest finish of a U.S. junior men’s or women’s single sculls crew in event history! This fall, Cara will be heading east to attend UVA.

Austin and Tom are from New York and have both interned with us several times in the past - as well as being campers. Both true lightweights from New York, they manned the 2x and raced to a 12th place finish out of the highest subscribed field (32 crews) at the regatta. Austin and Tom are heading to Harvard.

You can find results, and photos of both the JM2x as well as Cara. Congratulations to all - here at Craftsbury we can't wait to see what's next!
