Center members are invited to join us in this multi-movement fitness activity. Increase endurance, strength and flexibility using different apparatus and free weights. Learn to row on an indoor rowing ergometer and double pole on a Concept 2 ski trainer. Best of all, this activity is FREE to Craftsbury members!
When: Mondays and Thursdays promptly from 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Where: Craftsbury Outdoor Center weight room (downstairs of Cedar Lodge).
Class size: 6-10 total, either gender, all ages. Call 802-586-7767 to register, or e-mail sculling@craftsbury.com so we know to expect you.
Requirements: Clearance from your physician for controlled physical activity. You must have the ability to move from sitting to standing comfortably.
Gear: Sneakers, t-shirt, lycra or snug gym shorts (please avoid baggy shorts which might be caught in rolling wheels) sweat band, towel and water bottle.
Format: 5-10 min warm-up, 30-40 min multi station circuit based on time so everyone moves to new stations at the same time. Each participant will monitor their own effort to have the most fun moving at their own speed. We will mix cardiovascular equipment with strength and flexibility activities. All the activities can be modified to suit the participants' abilities. 10-15 min cool down including stretching, yoga postures and relaxation poses.
Not a member? Membership is an annual fee that supports the Center's mission, gives its holders trail use privileges (e.g. free skiing), access to programming, as well as other benefits. In addition to all that, it's quite reasonable - membership begins at only $25 for students and seniors, $50 for adults, and $100 for families! Read more details here. As always, Craftsbury and Albany residents receive complimentary memberships (though we do request that you complete the brief form so we can easily reach you).
