2009 TD Banknorth Craftsbury Marathon 28th Annual Race and Tour

A twenty five kilometer loop course traversing Vermont's Northeast Kingdom presented by the Craftsbury Outdoor Center on Saturday, January 31, 2009.

A classical technique event with 25 and 50 kilometer race and 25 kilometer relay divisions starting at 9:00 a.m. and a 25 kilometer touring division featuring delicious home-style food stops starting at 9:05 a.m.

This event is part of the prestigious American Ski Marathon Series and the New England Marathon Series. This year it has again been proclaimed by the State Chamber of Commerce as one of the "Top Ten Winter Events in Vermont."

After the finish, all participants are treated to a hearty post race meal. The top three racers in each ten year class are awarded locally handcrafted pottery. Special pins will be awarded to racers within 25% of each year age group winner's time. All tourers are awarded a commemorative pin.

Some past participants have found the course challenging. While we have modified the course from previous years, we still recommend skiers have an advanced intermediate skill and fitness level. If yours are not up to par, check out the three-month program of special exercises to get you started, designed by our head ski instructor, Pepa Miloucheva.

Your entry fee minus a $30 service charge is refundable up to 1/24/09. After 1/24/09 your entry fee is not refundable for any reason including postponement or cancellation. Your registration is not transferable at any time to another person or event. You may change your distance or class for $10 up to the day of the race.

Marathon Race Class Online Entry Fees:
$60 by 11/30/08, $70 by 12/31/08, $80 by 1/24/09.

Relay Race Class Online Entry Fees For Team:
2 person team $100, 3-5 team person $125 by 1/24/09.

Tour Online Entry Fees:
$50 by 11/30/08, $60 by 12/31/08, $70 by 1/24/09.

Children age 13 and under Touring Class Fees:
$25 by 1/24/09. Note: All children age 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Separate registrations must be submitted for both child and adult. Please complete adult registration first.

Additional $5 processing fee for all offline forms of registration.
