Craftsbury Outdoor Center Day Membership Holders may ski any of the Highland Lodge trails as part of their day membership. Click for a complete list of privileges.

Want to make the most of a winter day? Come join us at Craftsbury. You can relax, purchase snacks, shop for new equipment or rent equipment for the day at our wood heated day lodge. Our ski shop has lots of skis and other outdoor equipment for enjoying winter to rent or buy. As always, Craftsbury and Albany residents ski for FREE all winter long (though we do ask that you complete the membership form).

Craftsbury's too much fun to come just one day per winter and our pricing on memberships has made a season of skiing much more affordable. Why not make it a winter of fun?

* - Individual students skiing for a day are $5. Vermont High School nordic ski teams training at Craftsbury, with their coach as part of a workout, can ski for free. Please call in advance of your arrival, especially during periods of low trail counts, to ensure that your team will have the room it needs. Thanks!

Membership gives the holder:

  • Unlimited trail use '12-'13 (Note that not all winter trails are summer accessible, and vice versa).
  • An ongoing series of member events of all kinds - like cider pressing, naturalist hikes, and the popular ergo circuit training class, to name a few.
  • Access to Craftsbury Nordic Ski Club (CNSC) programming. This includes regular training & racing programs for skiers from kids to masters. Note: there is an additional fee for these programs.
  • Access to the Hosmer Community Rowing Club (HCRC) programming and other sculling and training opportunities. Note: additional fees for these programs.
  • FREE access to our summertime weekly trail series, every Tuesday.
  • Confluence CrossFit Sessions at the Center are only $5! Ditto for yoga.
  • Discounts on ski rentals and meals.
  • The Craftsbury member e-newsletter sign-up. Sample eNews.
  • One free day of skiing at any participating Vermont Ski Areas Association (VSAA)1 Nordic ski area, plus one free day at the Dartmouth Cross Country Ski Center.

We welcome additional contributions of any amount. Your support will help make possible such projects as the following:

  • A lending equipment pool for growing, aspiring racers whose pocketbooks haven't caught up with their desire to ski.
  • Travel and race expense scholarships so that financial need never keeps a keen athlete skier from their chance to perform.
  • Trail expansion and improvements to the new non-profit Center's 105k of trails.
  • School Ski programming for local communities.
  • Support for the athletes of the Green Racing Project and the Small Boat Training Center as they chase their Olympic dreams.
  • Lots more initiatives to come - all focused on supporting lifelong, healthy activity for all ages.

Membership runs for a year, from November 1 to October 31.

Membership has been priced in hopes of making Nordic skiing an economically feasible reality for more people.

FREE Weekend Highland Lodge Shuttle

Again this season, we will be running a free shuttle bus Saturdays and Sundays to Highland Lodge for houseguests, day members, and annual members. We hope to start our shuttle service by mid-December, depending on conditions.

Catch the weekend shuttle at either the Center's or Highland Lodge's Touring Center.

Weekend shuttle
Leaves Craftsbury: 9:30am
Arrives Greensboro: 9:45am (leaving immediately to return to Craftsbury)
Arrives Craftsbury: around 10:00am

Afternoon shuttle may be available by request.

The above schedule will run from mid-December through February. We'll revisit scheduling for March as we draw closer to that time. Some important details:

  • There are no reservations on the shuttle - it's first come, first served.
  • If more passengers show up than can be accommodated in one vehicle, a second run will be made.
  • Weekend of February 2-3: If the marathon is point to point, there will only be a shuttle on Sunday, February 3. If the marathon's a loop? There will be a shuttle both days.

Houseguests: have a bigger group than the shuttle can manage? Want to come or go at a different time than the scheduled shuttle period? Be sure to talk with the front office the day prior to your weekend trip to make arrangements for your own scheduled pickup or dropoff for two or more people.
