Golden Wheel Results
05.Aug.2010 This past Sunday, Ida Sargent took the 1st ever Golden Wheel Rollerski Race in the 10k women's division, while Pat O'Brien took the victory in the men's 15k. Both of the GRP athletes rolled to commanding wins in their races, with comfortable margins to earn the prize of the Golden Wheel.
The women's podium, led by Sargent in 19:05, was filled out by Hannah Dreissigacker and Susan Dunklee in 19:48 and 20:42. O'Brien was followed by two of his GRP teammates, Matt Briggs and Dylan McGuffin. Pat's winning time was 25:41, Briggs came in at 27:13, McGuffin followed in 27:52. The races were enjoyed by all as was the post race barbecue on the side of the trail at the Jericho range. Junior 5ks were won by Moni Dyanov (Bulgarian National Team) and Mellisa Manning (Ethan Allen). Thanks to all the participants, the Craftsbury Outddor Center, and the Ethan Allen Training Center.
