Race Volunteer Opportunities
06.Dec.2011 We're hosting an ambitious number of races this winter (see below), and that is only possible thanks to our wonderful, dedicated volunteers. Whether you volunteer for one race, for the Marathon, or commit to helping on an ongoing basis, volunteering is a great way to meet other community members, develop new skills (or share your existing talents), get as close as possible to the action, cheer on friends and family, enjoy and promote the outdoors, support your local communities and businesses, and showcase your home ski center to the Nordic ski world.
Beyond the warm altruistic feeling, we offer volunteers small tokens of our appreciation - including great fundraising opportunities for groups, donations to non-profits in the single volunteers' names, and more! Over the years the Craftsbury Outdoor Center has been the grateful recipient of many volunteers' donated time, energy and skills. We have a niche for almost everyone, regardless of your interest or age. And the vast majority of these opportunities do NOT require you to be a skier - only to be a friendly, generous representative of the NEK! We hope that you'll join us this winter. Questions?
