Local Food Dinners at the Center

As part of our inaugural Independence Weekend program, the Center’s Kitchen offered meals that were even more local than usual. The dinners, in particular, featured almost entirely locally-sourced ingredients! As an added bonus, each night before dinner, the cooks gave a short talk about where the food came from, and how it was prepared. The menus were creative, varied—and totally delicious.

Here’s the menu from the first dinner, Friday night, as shown on the white board in the Dining Hall.

And a few shots of the featured items:

Wheat Berry Risotto with Arugula Walnut Pesto, and Pork Chops with Apple Bacon Stuffing

This was all so delicious and fun that we’ve decided to offer more local dinners on Saturday nights for the rest of July. Read more details about the events here, then call the Office to reserve a spot (802-586-7767). Hope to see you in the coming weeks!
