Construction on upper field

Construction has begun on our new biathlon range in the upper soccer field. However, there's a lot of equipment and material that riders and runners need to be aware of. Stay to the perimeter, stay out of fenced areas and off piles of material. See photo for recommended way to access the wiggle - and watch the webcam to stay abreast of their progress!

GRP and CNSC at Race to the Top of Vermont

On Sunday, August 25, a large group of Green Racing Project and CNSC athletes took on the Race to the Top of Vermont in Stowe, VT. The 4.3 mile course starts at the bottom of the gondola and winds up the Toll Road, ending just below the summit of Mt. Mansfield. A grueling uphill running race with over 2,500 ft of elevation gain, the race nearly always makes a yearly appearance in the training plan for the Green Racing Project!

In the men's race, GRP skier Adam Martin broke the tape for 1st place overall in a time of 34:02. Braden Becker placed 3rd, followed by Raleigh Goessling in 4th, and Akeo Maifeld-Carucci in 5th. CNSC and GRP at the VT3

The one-day VT3 extravaganza took place last Sunday at the Outdoor Center. Nearly a dozen current CNSC and GRP athletes or alums put the pedal to the metal for either 15 or 30 miles of racing fun. The course covered much of the COC trail system, including fast flowy trails and tricky technical sections, with some dirt road grinding bits to get from one trail to another. In the long course (30 mile) U20 men’s division, Finn Sweet was 4th followed by Makail Tipton in 5th. In the men’s 21+ division, Ben Lustgarten was 2nd (and 2nd overall) followed by GRP alum Pat O’Brien in 4th. In the U20 men’s short course (15 miles), Leo Circosta was 2nd followed by Orion Cenkl in 5th. In the men’s 21+ short course, CNSC alum and summer bike shop maestro Xav Koontz-Miller was 3rd. In the ...

Thanks a ton to all who came out for a big day out at the VT30. Results!

One day of racing fun, Sunday, August 18
We are bummed to announce that we will be unable to run The VT3 as a 3 day stage race this year. Low registration and venue challenges rendered hosting a stage race a losing proposition for both organizers and participants. After consulting with our community and assessing our venue options we are stoked to invite everyone to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center on Sunday, the 18th of August for a one-day wonder NEK race day. $25 gets you 15 or 30 miles of lots of singletrack, some dirt road, some ski trails, and a whole lot of fun. Registration and details here.

GRP Athletes Race at the Pan American Games in Perú

Last week, four of our GRP athletes got a chance to represent the United States at the Pan American Games in Huacho, Perú. The Pan American Games are held every four years, the year before the Olympics. As the name might suggest, all North, Central, and South American countries compete in almost all the Olympic sports in a similar fashion to the actual Olympic Games with over 9,000 athletes competing over the course of three weeks. The main games were held in Lima, but the rowing was held in a satellite location a few hours north, in Huacho. Of the 21 rowers representing the United States, four of them were GRP Athletes. Lucas Bellows and Jen Forbes were the Men’s and Women’s Single Sculls while Nathan Lado and Wes Vear were the Men’s Double Sculls. Maggie Fellows, a GRP ...
