In Lucerne, McAdam placed second in his heat and then fifth in his quarterfinal, progressing him to the C Final where he then came in third.

This past week, GRP athlete Wesley Vear and former GRP athlete John Graves raced at the Club National Championships in Bethel, OH. They started the week off placing 6th and 1st, respectively, in the time trial for the Elite Single Sculls. They then placed third and first in each of their semifinal races to progress them to the A Final. On Friday, Graves came in second in the A final by a margin of less than a second after leading the entire race up until the last 100m with Vear placing 6th in the A final.

Later that Friday afternoon, Vear raced in the Intermediate Single Sculls time trial, placing 6th. Saturday afternoon he then won his semifinal race with the second fastest time of the semifinals, advancing him to the final. In the final, Vear sat down on the field until the 1000m mark and then moved into second place behind Luke Rein from Undine where he finished, earning silver.

The GRP athletes are now shifting back into preparation for Senior Trials in Princeton on August 6th.
