Wildflowers are one adventures that await in our summer program.

Fitness & Fun for mature adventurers

Join COC staff for guided fitness sessions and modest adventures for the 55+ crowd, three Friday afternoons this summer!

June 22: A Walk in the Woods - Tour the Center trails and enjoy wildflowers, birds and some map reading. Modest pace and terrain.
July 13: Biathlon Basics - Learn about the sport, the equipment and shooting with Hallie Grossman.
July 22: Orienteering - Local Orienteering master Adrian Owens will share his knowledge and love of this sport for mind and body! Modest pace, walking involved.
July 27: Chair Yoga - Liz Keglor will lead a chair yoga session to help flexibility, balance and mobility.
August 3: Strength and Balance Circuit - Join GRP athlete Kelsey Dickinson for her customized session to improve strength and balance.
August 10: Canoeing Introduction and Review - Learn the basic strokes and skills necessary to paddle to enjoy Lake Hosmer’s beauty safely and efficiently. Expect to get your feet wet!
Aug. 31: Lake Hosmer Ecology & Milfoil Project - John Brodhead will share his knowledge of the lake and update us on the milfoil project. Moderate paddling distance. Expect to get your feet wet!

All sessions run from 1:00-2:30pm and meet on the Activity Center deck at the Center - pack a lunch and arrive early to enjoy a picnic! Bus transportation available from Hardwick, Greensboro, Craftsbury Community Care Center, Wolcott –$5/person.
