Singletrack Shootout Biathlon Race

Saturday, October 6, 10:00am start

2018 Singletrack Shootout Results

Everyone is invited to test their limits on the Craftsbury Outdoor Center's biathlon range and trails with the 7th annual Singletrack Shootout Biathlon Race, Saturday, October 6, 2018, part of our annual Fall Fest celebration. No biathlon experience necessary! The Craftsbury Outdoor Center supplies the range, ammo, safety instruction, rifles and other equipment - you just have to show up with your running shoes or bike!

The morning starts with a shooting and safety clinic for novices, followed by the expert's mass start race, also 6k running and ~7k biking, for racers with biathlon experience and their own rifle. Adult races have 4 rounds of shooting, kids 3. After the expert's race, the novice race will start. As is the case with summer biathlon, all racers will rack their rifles when they leave the range - i.e. no running or biking with a gun on your back! Novices will race in a wave start format; 6k for running and 7k for biking. All levels of ability are welcome!

The stadium will be a hub of activity during the shootout. We'll go over traffic in greater detail on race day with all the participants.
