Henley on Hosmer
October 3, 2015
Mark your social and sporting calendars! Craftsbury is pleased to announce the third annual Henley-on-Hosmer to be held Saturday the 3rd of October, 2015 in conjunction with our Oktoberfest celebration. Oarsmen and oarswomen shall race single sculls two abreast down Big Hosmer Pond (1 mile, 1320 yards) with the winner proceeding to the next round. Each round will be shorter than the last to reward the winners' prior efforts. Head style qualification races may be employed as deemed necessary by the Stewards.
Attendants wishing to gain admission to the Stewards' Enclosure must dress in accordance with long-established Vermont tradition. Ladies and Gentlemen are required to wear cut-offs or Carhartts and flannel. Whilst not a requirement, it is customary for the hemline to be above the knee.
Registration is online, and closes Wednesday, September 30 at 5:00pm. No DOR! Reg early, or stay on the shore!
Race entry fees include entry to the evening's Oktoberfest local dinner.
