January Leap!

For 20 straight months Director of Hosmer Point Jon Hammond has taken a dip in Big Hosmer.  An easy task during our ripe summer months becomes that much more daunting in the winter but Jon always finds a way. Today Jon sawed a perfect square into the foot-thick ice in front of the boathouse at the Center and in his Pied Piper way collected three other hardy souls to leap into the inky water with him. Truth be told, it was downright balmy compared to last week's arctic temperatures.

Joining him today were Allie, Charlie and Lynn. With a happily bundled up crowd of fellow GRP teammates and Steve's husky puppy Tanka cheering, barking and video'ing there was no hesitation from our three adventurers. Lynn slipped in first, then Charlie and Allie and Jon did a triumphant leap in to close out the January swim.

Another month:  done and done!
