Torrential rains on Sunday night meant the Black River was particularly fast-moving on Monday. The water felt terrific after our 4 miler to get there.

All Comers week is underway and the action has been non-stop. Clear skies and buttery sunshine mean great conditions for running. The track session this morning saw the Mighty Mitochondria group (we've been learning lots from Coach Pete and his exercise physiology presentations) nailing their negative splits during the 800's and 400's while Coach Jess's group was relentlessly cranking out intervals, too.

Coach Pete had his own goal at the track. After videotaping the runners for the better part of an hour, he did a warm-up and ran the relay achieving his 400m PR with a 63. The last two weeks he'd recorded a 68 and a 64. Even the coaches were getting in on the negative splitting game!A run to the Black River yielded the best reward of all: a frothy and fun soak in the cascading pools.  Endurathon Day here we come!
