August Night Sky

Sunset over the Cove.

The evening chorus of crickets presides over a darkening sky at 7:52 pm. The longer sunsets of June and July are long gone. I tried in vain to photograph the full moon but it was futile. Better to capture it in my mind's eye and enjoy the velvet blues of the sky instead. There's plenty of summer left but make no mistake: a careful attending reveals autumn lurking along the edges.
