How To: Riding the Hosmer Point Singletrack

The kilometers of singletrack at Hosmer Point (HP) offer an excellent extension to the Outdoor Center’s trail network - when they’re open! Here’s how to best enjoy them.

Check Access

The HP trails are only open when summer camp is not in session and there are no weddings or other events. If these trails are not available when you would like to ride, please drive or ride a mile or so down the road to the Outdoor Center and enjoy our trail network here.

To see trail conditions and the availability of seasonal trails like HP, use our trail dashboard or the Trailhub App. New trail kiosks with all this information and more are coming soon - be on the lookout for these in-person resource centers.

Please remember that our extensive trail system is built on the generosity of local landowners and their consent for land use. Many of our trails that cross private land are season-specific - winter trails that can’t be used in the summer and vice versa. It is imperative that we enjoy these resources in the right way at the correct times. Thank you for your help with this and many thanks to our landowners!

Know the Trails

If you’re starting your ride at the Outdoor Center or the Lakeside Trail Parking Lot, use George & Hattie’s and the Summer Lakeside to HP ski trail to connect to HP. Ride the Cabin trails to The Point, which features lake-side riding, and then climb back up to the pleasant eastward facing view via the Barn Trail. You can find all these trails on the HP trail map. If you would like to start your ride at HP, there is a small parking pullout at the base of the hill along Lost Nation Road before the turn into camp.

Shred

Bend your knees, keep your eyes up, and lean the bike. Have fun!
