Training week of 8/25

EVERYONE:

  • The training plan is here and below.

  • Don’t forget to fill out the attendance form.

  • Looking ahead: school is starting and we are moving to the fall schedule. Check that out here.

  • Questions about winter, fall events, etc.: we’re so glad you’re excited and we’re not ready for it yet! Now that we’ve blasted through summer we are starting to plan further ahead. Thanks for your patience.

JUNIORS:

  • Woooooo, school! And with it, afternoon training. It is under YOUR control to put your best foot forward and maximize afternoon workouts: hydrate, snack & fuel well throughout the day, including that after school-before practice window. Remember all your Megan training! Brainstorm some meal planning with your parents.

  • Good work to those of you who communicated your fall plans! In general, talk to us if you need something a little different than the written plan on the day(s) you do come to practice. We don’t know, for example, that you did running intervals yesterday with XC and that you don’t need them a second day in a row at ski practice if you don’t tell us.

  • Training logs: do them!

  • Lake Placid camp: invoices were sent out. Please wrap those up promptly and be in touch if you need scholarship aid.

  • If any of y’all are college-bound and have rental gear, we need it back. Much like your little siblings, it doesn’t get to go to college with you. If you’d like to buy it instead of return it, holler at us.

U14s:

  • About fall sports: almost all of you do other sports and that’s awesome. We love that you have a diversity of interests! We’ll see you when we see you.

BKL:

  • How do you play dodgeball, again? You might have to remind Audrey this week

  • No BKL biathlon practice this week due to coaches being all tied up with camps, etc. See you in September!

  • Looking ahead, note the shift in BKL biathlon time to after practice (because, you know, school).

BIATHLETES:

  • U15s and U17+s will be all together on Wednesdays during the fall. This week, keep your classic rollerskis on for practice.

  • Looking ahead- Sunday, Sept 14th is another Singletrack Shootout. Preregistration required.

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  • Business as usual!
