Training week of 11/10

EVERYONE:

  • The training plan is here and below. Please fill out the attendance form weekly!

  • Club uniforms and jackets: our new uniforms are for sale through the end of the day WEDNESDAY, 11/12 (we extended the date a couple days) and are gonna look like this! “Old” uniforms and jackets are on sale in the clubhouse. If you’re interested, ask coaches for more info before/after practices or at your rental fitting or just whenever you’re kicking around. Price list can be found in older blogs. As far as uniform/jacket rentals go: whether you get a new or old one will be luck of the draw.

  • Rental equipment: we’d like to wrap up season-long rental distribution sooner rather than later. PLEASE hop on rentals if you' haven’t yet done so.

JUNIORS:

  • Notes from our meeting today: are here.

  • BRING YOUR ROLLERSKI RENTAL GEAR BACK now please. If you were in the Junior 1 group this summer, you can hang onto it a tiny bit longer. Everyone else: it’s time to wrap up rollerskiing and move on. Taking a break is actually good for your ski technique. And also we need all of your boots and poles to turn over for winter rentals.

  • Always be ready for all the things: the weather is highly unpredictable this time of year. Always be ready for inside + outside, and be sure to have a full change of dry clothes in your bag.

  • Licensing: holy moly you better have what you need at this point. Read old blogs for more info.

  • Looking ahead at some dates:

    • Eventually we’ll catch up on our calendar of race dates and stuff

    • In the meantime, toggle to the “25-26 year” tab at the bottom of the training plan to get a better sense of what’s ahead this winter.

U14s:

  • Notes from our meeting today: are here.

  • BRING YOUR ROLLERSKI RENTAL GEAR BACK now please. You don’t need it anymore! Thanks!

  • Always be ready for all the things: the weather is highly unpredictable this time of year. Always be ready for inside + outside, and be sure to have a full change of dry clothes in your bag.

BKL:

  • We are looking forward to winter! See you in December.

BIATHLETES:

  • Bring every practice: gloves, poles and a dry change of clothes & warm layers to put on after skiing.

  • Winter race opportunities- read over for what we know so far. There’s a novice-friendly race on Jan 10!

  • During the month of November only, we will structure JR/U14 training a little differently:

    • Sundays and Wednesdays are practices for the full group. Your mode will probably be whatever the mode was for ski practice.

    • Tuesdays we will reserve for 1-on-1 shooting sessions. Anyone who is a U17 or U19 planning to race at Junior Nationals can sign up for a 1-on-1 shooting session here.

    • December goes back to normal with the group split between Tuesday and Wednesday.

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  • Thanks for a great summer and fall! We’ll see you again on December 4th. Feel free to use Slack to self-organize workouts in the meantime.

Here’s the TRAINING PLAN for the week, or check below:

I spy some BKLers out for a rip!

Hopefully one of our last rollerski sessions of the year right here…
