From Catamount to Craftsbury: CCD Closes Out the VTYC Season
The fury that is the C race start, Craftsbury Finale.
Craftsbury Cycling Development wrapped up the 2026 Vermont Youth Cycling season with two races in eight days: a road trip to Catamount Outdoor Family Center on October 10, then the season finale on our own trails on October 18.
Catamount: a classic VT mountain bike race venue
Eleven CCD riders made the trip to Catamount, stop three on the VTYC calendar. Pippa Abbene finished second in Cat C Girls, and David Stevenson was third in Cat C+ Boys. In Cat C Boys, Asher Jacobs was fifth and Garrett Patch seventh, Garrett's first VTYC race of the season. Everyone who raced is in the table.

Craftsbury: home trails, bigger team
Eight days later the series came to our trails, and seven riders who hadn't raced at Catamount joined the lineup, bringing CCD to sixteen. Pippa was second again, her third runner-up finish of the fall after Burke and Catamount. Asher matched his fifth in Cat C Boys, with Garrett tenth, and David was ninth in Cat C+ Boys. Hadley moved to fifth in Cat B Girls, with Silvia ninth and Lillian Suddaby tenth. In Junior Boys, Ben Cotterill was sixth.
Cat B Boys was the biggest race of the day at 36 riders, and CCD had five on the line: Bowman Suddaby finished sixth and Oakley Crawford ninth. Lots of great races all around. Full results follow.
