The Center is excited to host NENSA’s 2023 New England Bill Koch League Festival, March 4-5, 2023.

The New England Bill Koch Youth Ski League (NEBKYSL) Festival is the marquee event of the New England Nordic Ski Association Bill Koch Youth Ski League. This league has the mission to introduce young people to the sport of cross country skiing with its social, fitness and competitive opportunities. This fun youth festival will feature racing, as well as a wide range of non-competitive winter activities. Skiers of all ability levels from kindergarten up to 8th grade are welcome!

The theme of the 2023 Festival is “The North Woods in Winter.” Our goal is to expose the New England ski community to what a working forest landscape looks like in the wintertime. We all enjoy skiing in the woods in winter, but the forest offers so many other resources and opportunities. Festival participants will be able to learn firsthand about making maple syrup, forestry and silviculture, winter camping and survival skills, and more. We will also have laser biathlon demos from the U.S. Biathlon Association, a skills park, and dozens of open kilometers of skiing.

We’ll have info on our site, but NENSA is the real hub of info for the festival. Follow their Breaking News, Trail Tales youth newsletter, and on social media (Facebook and Instagram). You can also keep tabs on the Festival website HERE.

We’re enjoying summer like everyone, but this has us even more excited for winter!
