We hope you enjoyed Dan Roock’s talk this week as much as we did - the full recording, as well as the videos that Dan showed during his presentation, are available for viewing over here.

The 11th webinar in our series, titled “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Erging (but hadn’t yet asked)” is a by-request affair. Given that many people in North America still have limited or no access to on-water rowing, it was only to be expected that we would begin to get questions about indoor training on the erg. Join four of our longest-tenured coaches as they share their perspectives on the erg’s many virtues as a training tool, as well as some of its limitations. Have your questions ready as well; we are anticipating a longer than usual Q&A segment in the second half of the program.

Our panelists are as follows:

  • Lisa Schlenker – former world 2k erg record holder, first lightweight woman to break 7:00, 1998-2006 U.S. National Team, 2004 Olympic LW2x, World Championships silver medalist LW1x (1999 & 2002).

  • Sara Field Gronewold – 1996 (W4-), 1998 (W4x), & 1999 (W4-) U.S. National Team, World Championships gold medalist W4- (1996).

  • Kevin MacDermott – Director of Rowing and Head Coach of Men’s Crew, Trinity College, Hartford, CT; Associate Director, Craftsbury Outdoor Center sculling camps

  • Troy Howell – Director of Sculling Programs, Craftsbury Outdoor Center

The webinar will take place on Wednesday, September 9th at 4:00pm EDT. Please register in advance via the link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
