Vaccination Policy for Fitness Classes; Open Gym on Hold for Winter

Effective November 1, COC will be requiring fitness class participants of eligible age to show proof of full vaccination. In addition, the Event Barn will no longer function as a public gym space starting November 1 as the Outdoor Center gears up for winter operations — fitness classes will move to alternate locations, and Open Gym benefits will go on hold for the winter months. This new policy takes effect in tandem with the vaccine mandate for overnight guests, employees, and GRP athletes.

Vermont has been incredibly successful at combatting some of the worst effects of the coronavirus variants, due in part to its high vaccination rate. But the pandemic is clearly not over yet. As we head deeper into the Fall and Winter, we need to redouble our efforts and take all of the steps we can to protect ourselves and our community.

With this in mind, and given the FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine, Craftsbury Outdoor Center has instituted a mandatory vaccination policy for overnight guests along with its employees, GRP athletes, coaches and related support personnel that are on our premises. To complete our safety efforts, we will also be instituting a vaccine requirement for all fitness class participation, effective November 1, and open gym benefits will go on hold until at least the end of ski season. Fitness class participants can learn about how to provide proof of vaccination on their class registration page.

This policy applies to fitness class attendees of vaccine-eligible age (currently age 12 and over, but this is expected to change).

Please direct any questions regarding this policy to the COC Office - stay@craftsbury.com. This policy is subject to change at any time.
