Solstice with the SBTC

Just about perfect.

Just about perfect.

Summer solstice was sunny and clear at Craftsbury, with only wisps of clouds overhead - just about a perfect day: good temperature, pretty still water, nice sunshine. I wasn't going to get too many better opportunities to shoot the SBTC than yesterday.

So I bummed a ride from Troy who was working with the athletes and played photojournalist for a bit. The athletes were doing a 15k piece, with a focus on technique and skill work. Saw lots of pause drills, practice starts, bursts of high ratings - whatever it took to keep skills sharp and attention focused. It's a good long row and that combined with the warm sunshine gave the day a summery feel, a feeling that perhaps, just maybe, after a loOOoooong and wet spring, we may actually be into full on summer now.

Anyhow, check out some of the photo results - and a happy opening to summer!
