Sunday saw some intrepid BKLers head south to Mountain Top for the annual paintball biathlon. Paula Davidson shares the adventures of Alan and David Moody, Cormac and Anika Leahy:

"Very cold Paintball Biathlon today at Mountain Top in Chittenden (it was 0F  when we got there and around 5F when we left). We were all prepared this year with blankets, winter coats, and an assortment of headgear. The paintball guns were finicky in the cold, but the kids all made some shots and skied fast. Alan was first in the grade 1/2 category, making all five of his shots (the first/second graders had only one big target instead of 5 smaller ones). Anika made two shots and was the third girl in the same age category. Cormac was fourth in the boys 3/4 group, and David was second in the boys 5/6 group - great results at a race with 30-50 kids in each age group category."

Way to go BKLers! You can see more pics and full results here on NENSA's website.

It was a very biathlon weekend for the Juniors and GRP as well, with events Friday thru Sunday at Jericho for the NorAm Championships. Patrick Lawlor, Matthew Lawlor, Ani and Xav Koontz Miller, Anders Hanson and Jacob Morse joined Mike, Ethan and Clare at various points of the weekend for a big Craftsbury turnout. Watch the news section for more info on their efforts, or check the Ethan Allen Biathlon site for results.
