The summer season has arrived at Craftsbury and with it come busy and productive days of running, sculling, coaching and having a brain full of details that must be remembered. When I need a respite, I take Towhee and go for a walk in the forest. All those details drain away as I keep my eyes and ears open with every step.

On this walk I was rewarded. I found an ovenbird's nest and I saw a leopard frog, too.
