Training week of 7/28

EVERYONE:

  • The training plan is here.

  • Don’t forget to fill out the attendance form.

  • A note about the number of days you’re signed up for: this is supposed to be a rough average across the season. If you’re signed up for 2 days/week but some weeks you come more and some weeks less, that’s fine. If it starts to feel way out of balance, talk to us.

JUNIORS:

  • EASY week. The priority is to recover and feel good for the next training block.

  • Update yer training logs sheeesh. Put those goals in there on the special goals tab!

  • Nutrition: Our next talks:

    • Friday, 8/8 @ 11:15am: Activities Center

    • here are the slides from the first talk, which you can find later if you remember they’re in our shared nutrition folder.

  • Lost Nation Rollerski race: results here. Remember that rollerski racing is a little silly and results should be interpreted with a grain of salt! Think of it like one of our team time trials (like Elmore or the 3k). It’s most valuable as a measure of progress over the years.

  • Lake Placid Camp: is Aug 11-15 (Jrs only) and is a big ol' training trip. Our current plans + list of attendees can be found here.

U14s:

  • Easy week with coaches away = no practice Friday this week.

BKL:

  • Attendance form: pleeease fill it out. It really helps us plan!

  • On foot this week. We’ll get back to rollerskiing again soon.

BIATHLETES:

  • No practice on Friday. Those racing in Jericho can go there for a prerace.

  • USBA Summer Rollerski Nationals in Jericho on Saturday and Sunday

    • People signed up to race: Isaac, Tillie, Lilly, Bowman, Aemilia (if you are not on that list but plan to go, talk to us ASAP)

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  • Pretty standard week!
