Training week of 8/11

EVERYONE:

  • HOT this week. Keep an eye on Slack in case we need to modify or cancel further.

  • The training plan is here, and below as well.

  • Don’t forget to fill out the attendance form.

  • Looking ahead: we have 2 weeks left of the summer schedule. Then on 8/25 we pivot to the fall schedule (check that out here).

JUNIORS:

  • Those not going to Lake Placid: have reduced practice opportunities this week, but there are still some options. Be sure to read the plan.

  • Lake Placid Camp:

    • Our current plans + list of attendees can be found here.

    • Reach out to coaches ASAP if you have questions after reading the doc!

U14s:

  • pretty regular week this week!

BKL:

  • On foot this week!

BIATHLETES:

  • Note the reduced practice schedule this week due to a combination of heat + coaches tied up with various camps.

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  • Back to regularly scheduled programming this week.

This week we tried clearing the moss off the rollerski loop with a massive flame-weeder, thanks to Pete’s Greens. It kinda worked but we’re still searching for the perfect solution!

Carrying heavy stuff through mud = strength training + toughness training all in one.
