Join us for the 5th BIPOC Outdoor Fest. The BOF was created for members of the BIPOC community to gather, try new outdoor recreation activities or enjoy old ones in a supportive, affirming environment and to build community. The festival is held at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and there is no cost to attend.
This year’s activities include:
Mountain biking
Paddleboarding
Biathlon
Canoeing
Yoga
Kayaking
Nature walks w/flora and fauna identification
Swimming
Some of these will be group activities, with instruction and equipment provided. Activities will be led by BIPOC instructors as well as white instructors who share a sense of making space for BIPOC in outdoor adventure sports.
Community partners and food vendors will also be in attendance. We strive to keep the event rooted in the BIPOC community by collaborating with BIPOC-owned businesses and organizations who support making the outdoors a welcoming space where BIPOC feel a sense of belonging.
The festival will start at noon and go to 5:00pm with activities running from 12:30-3:30pm followed by a social hour. Pre-register to receive event updates and info.
