2026 U23 Summer Skiers

Fourteen collegiate skiers join us this summer in Craftsbury for the U23 ski training program. They will take advantage of the top-notch training at the Outdoor Center and in the surrounding area while working around the Center on a variety of projects. Please say hi if you see them around!

Samuel Friday

My name is Samuel Friday, and I am from Carbondale, Colorado, where I grew up skiing and biking with the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club as well as Pinnacle Cycling. I currently attend Saint Michael's College, where I study business administration and accounting with a minor in elementary education, while continuing to pursue skiing and biking as the vice president of Saint Michael's Cycling Club. I am incredibly grateful and excited to be a part of this program, not only for the opportunity to grow personally and professionally, but also to give back to both the Center and the Nordic community that has already given so much to me over the past couple years. I am especially looking forward to being surrounded by a passionate, hardworking group in an environment that encourages growth, learning, and ultimately success.

Annie Hanna

Hi, I’m Annie Hanna! I’m from the quaint town of Lebanon, New Hampshire (though it’s not quite as quaint as Craftsbury). I have grown up skiing for Ford Sayre Ski Club with Hilary McNamee. I recently graduated from Lebanon high school and will be heading to the University of Vermont this fall, where I’ll be a member of the Nordic ski team. At UVM I plan to major in economics with a minor in communications focused on public policy and sustainability. Living sustainably is important to me, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to Craftsbury’s U23 Summer Program. I’m excited to be part of a community that prioritizes environmental awareness in everyday life. I’m also looking forward to training alongside a group of highly motivated athletes. I thrive in team environments, and for me, the friendships that stem from training hard together are the best parts of skiing. I can’t wait to get to know everyone, work really hard, and learn a lot this summer at Craftsbury!

Mary Harrington

My name is Mary Harrington and I am from Ripton, Vermont. I have gone to Middlebury Union High School for the past four years, ski racing on both the school team and on the Green Mountain Valley School club team. Next year I will be on the Nordic ski team at the University of Vermont and majoring in neuroscience. I have done a lot of training on my own over the past year so the thing I am most looking forward to about training in Craftsbury this summer is having a group of awesome, hard working people that will give me motivation and make training more fun.

Hanna Koch

My name is Hanna Koch, and I am from St. Paul, MN. I go to UVM and am majoring in biological sciences. I’m super excited for this summer to be able to train with friends and new coaches and be able to learn a lot from the people around me. Additionally, I am excited to learn more about the sustainability mission in Craftsbury and take part in it!

Ruth Krebs

I live in Craftsbury, Vermont and I just finished my first year at Bowdoin college and am studying visual art and anthropology. I am looking forward to training and connecting with a bunch of new people this summer in Craftsbury.

Beth McIntosh

I am from Ripton, VT and am majoring in earth and climate science at Middlebury College. I’m excited to continue ski training in Craftsbury this summer with friends who push me to become physically, mentally, and habitually stronger. I’m also looking forward to learning new skills as I work to keep the Craftsbury program sustainable.

Caroline Menna

I’m from Leavenworth, Washington, and will be a sophomore at Dartmouth College this fall, where I am majoring in economics with a focus on energy policy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to spend another summer at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center as part of the GRP U23 ski program, and I’m excited to train at a high level within such a supportive community alongside my coaches and teammates. I’m also looking forward to contributing to the Center’s broader mission, especially through helping coach young BKL skiers and mountain bikers.

Lea Perreard

Hi! My name is Lea and I’m from Hanover, NH. The past couple years I’ve skied for the Ford Sayre High School Team, and am excited to continue training on familiar trails as part of the Dartmouth Ski Team next year! I am hoping to study engineering and environmental science because I believe that as athletes it is our job to advocate for our planet, especially when our sport relies so heavily on a stable climate and predictable winters. I am so happy that Craftsbury and the GRP focus on creating and maintaining a sustainable training environment, and I can’t wait to be a part of it and live and train with fun and dedicated athletes in such a beautiful place this summer!

Ava Schneider

I am from Middlebury, Vermont and am skiing for Dartmouth College. I plan to major in environmental studies with a focus in ecology and sustainability. I am so excited to spend the summer training with my best friends and to learn from the incredible team surrounding me. I look forward to expanding my knowledge of sustainable practices through the COC's mission.

Eddie Snider

I’m from Saint Paul, Minnesota, and ski for Michigan Tech, where I am a sophomore studying civil engineering. One reason I am excited to join the Craftsbury program this summer is that I will get to explore the Nordic community outside the Midwest.

Ollie Swabey

Hi! Im Ollie, and I’m from Williamstown, Massachusetts. I ski for Bowdoin College, where I will be a rising junior in the fall pursuing a double major in psychology and Italian studies. This summer at Craftsbury, I’m stoked to train with an awesome squad, and I’m equally excited to indulge in all that the Northeast Kingdom and the Craftsbury kitchen have to offer.

Finn Veit

My name is Finn Veit and I am from Crested Butte, Colorado. I am a physics major at Middlebury College. This summer, I am most looking forward to the Craftsbury dining halls, having new training partners, learning about sustainable timber harvesting, and spending a lot of time on the roller ski track.

Meg Voisin

Hi! I'm Meg Voisin. I'm from Montpelier, Vermont, and I just wrapped up my sophomore year at Bates. At Bates, I'm pursuing a chemistry major with a French minor and will be studying abroad in Stockholm in the fall! This summer will be my third with the U23 summer training group, but I grew up skiing with the Craftsbury programs. I'm looking forward to frolicking through the woods, fields, trails, and loops of the NEK with friends! When I'm not training with the crew, I'll be working and living at Hosmer Point Summer Camp, conveniently located 1 mile north of the Center.
