Help Wanted: First Aid and Emergency Response Coordinator

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center is looking for a part-time Coordinator of First Aid and Emergency Response. Responsibilities will include:

• Structure, protocol and coordination of our incident response. This includes our day-to-day capabilities and the specific needs of the events that we hold.

• Development and leadership of a small team of First Aid leaders at COC to ensure a trained person is always present.

• Inventory, purchase, location and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment.

• Planning and implementation of appropriate staff training through the year.

The coordinator would not be expected to be on-site on a day-to-day basis, or at every event, but will establish clear protocols and train responsible people to keep our response consistent, strong and effective. 

We anticipate this job taking +/-3 hours per week in summer, and +/-10 hours per week in winter. Hours will be largely flexible and some of the work may be done remotely. 

Applicants should have emergency medical training and experience, strong organizational and communication skills, an interest in outdoor recreation.
