New additions to GRPRow

The GRP Row team is pleased to announce several new additions. Joining the GRPRow team are Erin Boxberger and Luke Rein.
A native of Overland Park, Kansas, Erin has been living and training with the United States National Team in Princeton, New Jersey, for the last three years. A 2017 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Erin interrupted her college career for two years, while training at the Princeton Training Center in the lead up to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Erin is a highly decorated National Team and college rower. While at Notre Dame, she was named to the CRCA Pocock All-American First Team twice and Second Team once. In 2013, she won a gold medal as part of the U.S. women’s eight (W8+) that competed at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Linz-Ottensheim, Austria. In 2014, rowing in both the W8+ and women’s four (W4-), Erin won gold again at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Varese, Italy.
In her senior rowing appearances, Erin has generated impressive results with a bronze in W8+ at the 2017 World Cup II, and a fourth in the World Cup III in the W4-, en route to a win at World Rowing Champs that same year.
At Notre Dame, Erin double-majored in visual communications design and Spanish. She does freelance graphic design work of all types—for print and the web. Seek her out if you are in need of design work.
We are very excited to have Erin (known to the rowing community as Box) join the GRP. She brings with her an extremely hard work ethic, resilience, and bubbly personality. The Greenies are stoked to have with us!
Luke Rein.
Luke, who originally hails from Rhode Island, joins us from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he has been living since 2016.
After graduating in 2015 from South Carolina’s College of Charleston with a degree in Marine Biology, Luke took a break from rowing for a few months in order to ride his bike across the country. During that time, he also worked for the National Audubon Society, which is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to conservation.
In 2016, Luke moved to Philly to continue rowing for the Undine Barge Club. He rowed with Undine for a couple of years before moving to Vesper in 2018. In 2017, Luke won the men’s club single at Boston’s Head of the Charles Regatta, smashing a 20 year old record by more than 17 seconds - a time that would’ve placed 3rd in the Champ single.
When Luke isn’t training, he is running his popular nut butter company, Reinberger Nut Butter. Luke and his friend-turned-business-partner started their company because of a lifelong love of nut butters, which has fueled them through many adventures and probably some tough days (rowing and otherwise). It’s not only all-natural nut butter, but it’s also super tasty!
