Training week of 6/1
[Back to the Club Updates page]
EVERYONE:
Y’all should be registered for programs by now and have a good understanding of how things work. If you don’t, holler at us.
The Genny Tenny! It’s a point-to-point running race, happening Sunday 6/7, that benefits the Albany Community Trust. Entry includes a pizza lunch, a pre-race shuttle, and legit discounts for people under 18! More info here.
JUNIORS:
End-of-season survey and goal-setting: last chance! If you haven’t yet done your eval/goals form, please fill it out, and then you’ll be able to sign up for a meeting with us coaches so we can kick of the season smoothly.
Equipment, rollerskiing, etc.: peruse past blogs, then reach out if you still have questions.
Sunday: note there are 2 different things going on. See the Genny Tenny notes in the “Everyone” section above. If you choose to do that, you are operating independently, without a coach schlepping you around.
U14s:
Rollerskiing:
Please read through the new equipment rental policy. Not much has changed for U14s, but worth to know what’s coming as a future junior.
You only need skate rollerski gear! If you’re renting it from us, we’ll set you up with it when you roll in for your first rollerski practice.
Attendance: can y’all work on this one? We keep having a lot more of you than we expect, which makes it hard to know if we should lump you in with juniors or plan your own session.
MASTERS/ADULTS:
Pretty standard week.
BIATHLETES:
Normal practices this week for Jr, U14, Adults.
Weekly dryfire ideas (for those with rifles at home): Pick a position. 3x3 minutes holds alternating 10 secs of breathing with 10 secs intense aiming- holding very still on the center of the target. Try for 3-4 days per week.
Technique time with Pepa.
